4-Year Plan
This is a sample academic plan. Students should meet with an academic advisor prior to registration to formulate their own plan. Total Credits 124
Notes: Minimum 120 credits are needed for the BS degree, but 124 credits more accurately represents the typical 4-year experience of our students. Students must take placement exams to be able to register for CHEM 161 and MATH 241 . Minimum 45 upper division (300+ course) credits are required. Students must take 9 credits of the following BE electives: BE 405 , BE 410 , BE 411 , BE 420 , BE 431 , BE 460 , BE 470 . Students must incorporate all focus requirements into this plan. Focus designations (i.e., W, E, O, H) are CRN specific & semester specific. Students must complete 48 credits from engineering courses. Computer programming ECE 160 or ECE 110 or ICS 111 does not count toward this total. Students can complete the general chemistry requirement with CHEM 161 /CHEM 161L and CHEM 162 /CHEM 162L or CHEM 171 /CHEM 171L or CHEM 181A /CHEM 181L . Students can complete the math requirement with MATH 241 , MATH 242 , MATH 243 , and MATH 244 or MATH 251A , MATH 252A , and MATH 253A . Students must take but not necessarily pass the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam in the semester that they intend to graduate. Enrollment in BE courses require a grade of C- or better in all prerequisites unless otherwise noted. BE 411 requires C in prerequisite courses. Students can complete 3 credits from a 300+ BE, CEE, EE, ME, or ORE course to satisfy the engineering elective requirement.
